He appears to be a herding dog mix, possibly kelpie and/or heeler. He loves all of his doggie friends and playing with them in the water or going on walks around the property. He is also 100% safe with his kitty friends. After a long day of playing, he likes to pass out right in front the fan. He will make a great hiking biddy or family dog that the kiddos can run around with. He found himself at a small rural shelter with no foot traffic that euthanizes all dogs after 72 hours and his time was up. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Optional extra: All dogs must be kept on heartworm prevention for at least 6 months following transport because of the heartworm development cycle to kill any larvae that might present and do not show up on a heartworm test (thus puppies under 6 months don't even get tested). This is a monthly pill and he will have been given one close to transport. However, there is also the option to give a one time shot that lasts an entire year. This shot costs $150-$170 (based on weight) and is NOT included in the adoption fee but can be added if you choose to. This an added option for those who do not want to have to go to a vet within a month of arrival to get a prescription for the monthly heartworm prevention.
