About Kobe

Hello, I,unfortunately, am looking to rehome my purebred, 4 year old, Great Dane, Kobe. We rehomed him a year and a half ago and while he is a great dog, he is not cut out for the suburban lifestyle we can provide him with. Kobe was raised on a property closer to a farm than a suburb and he is anxious and stressed with the high street activity around him now. He has a dog reactivity and we avoid dog parks and cross the street from dogs when out on walks. He does currently live with another Dane and they get along well, however any household with another dog would have to be a case by case basis and with ample introduction time. He has lived with cats his whole life and does fine enough with them. No issues. He has lived with kids prior to us, but i cannot speak to how he would adapt at this point. We have done basic obedience training and worked on his reactivity a bit, we just do not have the time or environment he would do best in. A property with an a big yard would allow him to thrive, especially if he could not see dogs and people passing by. He came to us with some resoirce guarding issues that we have since worked on and no longer see as an issue. His reactivity/aggression is an issue that requires work but can likely be managed with proper care and training. The good things are everything else about him. He is a handsome, lovable boy. He will get pets and scratches and be next to you all day if you let him. He is a high energy Dane but also can relax when the time calls for it. He is house broken and not destructive at all. Otherwise he has. lot of the typical Dane traits of being an oversized, goofy boy. If you have any questions about him at all, please do not hesitate to reach out.
