Yes, she does best with doggy friends who are also high energy and will give her a lot of grace, because she is still learning how to play appropriately. Sierra can continue her socialization in controlled 1:1 or small group play. Good with cats? No Good with kids? Not tested Medical/Behavioral needs: Sierra is a survivor! She's healing from a broken leg and paw injury that nearly led to amputation, but her limb was saved. As a puppy, she had to be on cage rest to recover, so she's eager to make up for lost play time and learn her manners. Sierra is very excitable, loves to jump and barks at new people and dogs. She is learning that she has plenty of food, so she is fed separately from other animals. She has not been around children, but will do best around people who can read her behavioral cues. Energy level: High! Sierra requires a lot of physical and mental stimulation to keep her happy and engaged. An active adopter who can provide plenty of exercise and activities such as sports or dog agility training would be an ideal match for her. With her boundless energy, she would thrive in an environment that allows her to burn off steam and challenge her mind. Animal Characteristics: Sierra is a curious, courageous, intelligent, playful, strong minded dog with adorably floppy ears. She forms a strong bond with her person, but is quite cautious of new people and needs slow introductions. When she has warmed up, she will ask for love by partially climbing into a lap and enjoy being petted. She may become excited and start to get mouthy, and she can be redirected to a favorite toy. Sierra needs a patient, dedicated forever home where her training can be continued as she blossoms.
