About Bronco

Adoption Fee: $150
Australian Shepherd mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Bronco. Bronco is a 14-16 week Mini Australian Shepherd (according to our vet). Bronco is not chipped or neutered yet but he is up to date on all vaccines & gets monthly flea & tick prevention orally. We came to a quite Bronco (we named him) when at our daughters softball game two young adults had been trying to give him away for free, claiming they couldn't afford him (he was about 10 weeks estimated then). We thought he would be better off with us & safe until we could find him a permanent home. We have absolutely fallen in love with him & provided lots of training but we own a campground & our dogs need to be practical. Our Lovestock Guardian dog guards our property & goats/ducks/chickens. He would be great with a family with kids!!! Gets along with all dogs, will be submissive if challenged. Some info: -Comes when called unless in hot Persuit running off steam -Great with kids of all sizes (including toddlers) -Great with goats, chickens, ducks -Gets along well with cats, dogs, will be submissive when challenged -Potty trained, sleeps inside below our kids bed or with my boys -Does not like to be kenneled, makes him anxious -LOVES to chase fly balls and Plays fetch just doesn't bring it back -LOVES to play alongside the edge of our pond in the water -Food motivated and highly motivated by simple sitting with him/petting him -Haven't had an issue with him chewing anything but shoes or our toddlers toys if he finds them. We are a big family so someone is always near to take it away from him and provide a chew toy that squeaks as a replacement and he's in heaven - At night when he sleeps kennel free I provide him with a stuffed animal and he has never chewed anything in our home - Loves a routine, wakes up with me at 5am each day and goes potty outside and eat -Very smart- I think someone could train him to do dog obstacle course shows if they desired - He tends to herd one of our smaller 7 year old sons when he (our son) is running by him but we correct it, he doesn't attempt to herd anyone else
