About Mama

We are unfortunately looking to rehome our Great Pyrenees, Mama. We rescued her a little over a year ago in April of 2023. We aren't sure of her background as she was found in a stolen vehicle. We know that she was with her puppies and likely was out on a farm somewhere. She tested positive for Lyme and we treated her active infection. She was also spayed in May of 2023. She is up to date on all of her shots. In a lot of situations and environments, she is a sweet girl. She gets protective within her home and may become uneasy or uncomfortable when people or many people are in her house. She also made herself alpha between her and Gordie (our 6 year old dog)- she's never injured him but important to be aware of if another dog would be in the home. Outside of the home, she is very submissive and gentle. She is not crate trained but stays in our entry way when we are not home as she becomes anxious and should not be left to roam the house. She does super well in the entry way. She would do best in a home without little kids coming and going, space to roam, a fence (she can jump a 4ft fence). She has a single bite incident and we are more than willing/wanting to disclose details to anyone who may be interested.
