About Hawkeye

Hi there! I'm listing my dog named Hawkeye. He's perfectly healthy and technically a wonderful dog, but he is not good with children and I believe would be better with adults or a household with teenagers. He regularly nips my children and has bitten to break skin before. He also bites the neighborhood children who come over (which is often) and will not leave them alone so they need to be separated completely. I feel terrible because he's very sweet and largely well-behaved, but the biting is too much and is becoming a danger. I think having small children activates his herding instinct too much and we don't have the luxury at this point of training him because this behavior will continue in the meantime. He likes to play fetch with his brother, goes outside to go to the bathroom and sleeps inside overnight with no disruption. He gets along with his brother for the most part but is definitely the dominant one. We realize he is not neutered or vaccinated and are willing to cover those fees for anyone who is willing to take him. Let me know if you have any questions!
