About Stevie

Meet Stevie! This beautiful girl is a 4 year old silver Lab and is just the typical happy go lucky lab that loves everyone and everyone loves her. Stevie's mom reached out to us hoping to surrender her so we went to evaluate her and we got greeted with nothing but a wiggle butt and happy tail! Stevie is friendly, has a great temperament and is playful. She loves playing fetch, going for long walks, and taking naps. She has always been good with dogs at the dog park and may not always initiate play but is willing to go along. She hasn't lived with other dogs before so a meet with an approved adopter's dog(s) is a must before we would match her. She has never lived with children either and has had minimal exposure to them but her mom doesn't think she would ever be mean to a kid, she is just not used to being around them. Older kids (ages 12 & up) is a must for her placement just because we are unsure of how she would respond to little ones and she might not be sure how big she is and would knock them over unintentionally. Stevie also hasn't lived with cats and shows interest in squirrels, birds and bunnies on her walks, so to be safe she will not be placed in a home with cats or small animals. Stevie does have some seasonal allergies but they are manageable with Apoquel when she has flare ups. She's already spayed and fully vaccinated. Why is she being surrendered? Stevie was her husband's dog and sadly he passed away last year. Her daughter moved back home recently and is allergic to Stevie and has health issues so they made this very difficult decision because they want the best life and home for her (no judgment please and negative comments will be deleted and you may be blocked).
