About Stormie

Our girl, Stormie, has quite a story to tell! She was found on the side of the road in Missouri out in the middle of nowhere during a torrential down pour. There wasn't a home in sight for miles and miles�'�|..it was clear she had been dumped. And so, the name Stormie came to be. Eventually, Stormie made her way to Texas to another rescue and has now safely arrived in what we hope will be her final destination of Colorado. Stormie is a super smart dog, as most heelers are. She's caught on to house training and crate training in no time at all. She has even learned sit and shake in just a few days with her foster mom. Stormie is dog friendly and lives with a cat (she's interested but not inappropriate). Given her young age of 6-7 months, she can easily learn from a cat willing to set boundaries. Stormie loves to run and play with the resident and visiting dog friends. She zooms around the yard and tosses toys all about! Stormie also rides well in the car! She's looking for a home with a fenced in yard and humans that enjoy smart canine companions! She's presently around 45 lbs and has some growing left to do. However, she's a little chunky at the moment.
