About Lugia

Lugia is a 7-year-old neutered male kitty looking for a new home! When Lugia feels comfortable, he is a wonderful companion. He is very affectionate and will sit on your lap for cuddles, cozy up on his favorite cat bed next to you for hours, and sleep right on your feet when you go to bed. Unfortunately, Lugia does suffer from severe anxiety, making him easily startled by sudden movements, loud noises, and any changes in his general environment. His anxiety has manifested into spraying, other territorial and aggressive behaviors toward the female cat in my home and occasionally redirected aggression toward the other male cats if he is startled by something else and they're too close. I have tried countless things to improve his anxiety and behaviors and the things that seem to work best are the Feliway plug-ins, calming care packets mixed with his food, and spending lots of quality time with him. Lugia is mainly being rehomed due to my living situation, which will involve moving every few years for the remainder of his life. I would prefer he be somewhere stable to live out his senior years. While he does require extra work and more patience than most cats, he is a huge sweetheart and a worthwhile investment. I would prefer he go to a home with no children or other animals, and with someone who is home more often than not. HIS ADOPTION FEE IS 100% REFUNDABLE. I only want to ensure that whoever adopts him is serious and committed to keeping him. If you send an itemized veterinary bill to me, I will reimburse you until the entire adoption fee is refunded.
