About Blue Goose

Blue Goose was left at an animal shelter with two other hunting beagles because of a death in the family. The other two have been adopted, leaving just 'goosey' to find his own perfect home. At 4 years old, Blue Goose is still quite energetic and likes to play with other dogs his size or a little bigger. He is approximately 27lbs, but is a little on the slim side. 30lbs would be a good weight for him. He is affectionate to people and teenagers, and we have no reason to expect he would be any different with elementary aged children or even younger, but he is playful and might bump into little ones and knock them over. As a hunting dog, he is used to chasing after rabbits and such, so cats may not be a great choice for his home. Blue Goose would do great in a home with another active dog to play with in a fenced yard, but who could also come inside to relax afterwards on a comfy couch with his people. Goosey is housetrained, knows how to use a dog door, and is crate trained. He'd rather be out of the crate though, and sleeping with other dogs and/or his people.
