About Bailey

Bailey (male, 3 yrs old, 31 lbs.) is sweet, funny, athletic, great with our kids, loves to cuddle, loves playing frisbee and is just an amazing dog! He is mostly ACD but also has sheltie and a few other breeds. We did a DNA test and would be happy to send over the results. We've had him since he was weeks old and everyone that knows him loves him. Unfortunately he has started to show us that he needs more attention than we are able to give him. He has started to pee in front of us whenever we are giving attention to our two daughters only and not to him. He currently uses (and has always used) a flap doggy door since he was a puppy with absolutely no issue, so we know that this isn't a potty training issue but rather behavioral. His barking has also been giving our young daughter anxiety but a bark collar has greatly improved this. He is not a 'bark at everything' type of dog but barks at delivery people coming to the house and people coming to the front door. Bailey is not your average dog, he is extremely intelligent. He has learned phrases such as 'so and so is coming over', he sits in between our legs to protect us whenever we sit down, and overall just does things that are pretty incredible. We know that with a growing family Bailey is only going to get less and less attention. We love him dearly but feel that he would be happier with a family that can give him lots of attention and outdoor play time. Preferably a couple with no kids, (he is great with kids) but again is showing that he wants more attention. We would be happy to give you the training collar, bed, food, etc. (everything we have for him). We are so heartbroken to be putting him up for adoption but feel it is best for him. I have him listed at $150 simply because I don't want someone taking him just because he's free. We would love for him to go to a great family with lots of land (he would love a farm) that is going to love him for the rest of his life, and he has so much life left in him!
