Meet River, a breathtaking beagle/hound mix with a striking coat and soulful eyes. At 3 years old and weighing 32 pounds, he's the perfect size for cuddling. River has an affectionate nature and an abundance of love to share. He is great with other dogs and thrives in their company, especially when they engage in playful romps and runs. River is a well-mannered pup on the leash, although he may get a little excited at times and pull. However, his zeal for life is infectious, and he'll surely keep you motivated during your walks. This sweet boy is also a fan of playtime with toys and is always eager for a tasty treat. In fact, River isn't the least bit picky when it comes to treats - he appreciates them all! Despite being treated for Lyme disease, River has a clean bill of health with current vaccinations and a negative heartworm status. Additionally, he's already been neutered. With his loving disposition, playful spirit, and easy-going nature, River is just waiting for the right person to shower with affection. Thank you for looking at dogs from the Guernsey County Dog Warden Dept. We are a county run facility in Cambridge, OH, we are NOT a no kill shelter! Unfortunately, we must euthanize due to illness or aggression. Adoption fees are $165 for dogs under 5 years old, $100 for dogs over 5 years old and $200 for cell dogs. Adoption fees include, Vaccine (DHPP), Bordetella, Microchip, Heartworm and Lyme testing, Rabies vaccine, Spay/Neuter and a dog license. Dogs will be required to be spayed/neutered before leaving shelter, if not an appointment will be scheduled before leaving the shelter. Please talk to shelter staff for more information. We only accept cash. We cannot take checks, debit or credit cards. You may also call the shelter: Office hours are Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm.
