About MAYA (CELL DOG)

Meet Maya, an adorable 10-month-old boxer/hound mix who weighs about 40 pounds. This spunky girl is full of character and a hint of sass. While she is always eager to greet, she is currently working on mastering the art of greeting people appropriately. Maya arrived with a furry companion and loves nothing more than running and playing with her canine friends. She thrives on the energy of other dogs but is learning to manage it better. Currently, Maya is enrolled in an 8-week basic obedience course where she is honing her leash and crate training skills while getting plenty of socialization with other dogs. During her training, she will be mastering basic commands like sit, stay, come, leave it, and heel. Rest assured, Maya is spayed and up to date on all her vaccines. Furthermore, she has tested negative for heartworm and Lyme disease. On September 17, 2024, Maya's training will be complete, and she will be all set to find her forever home. Thank you for looking at dogs from the Guernsey County Dog Warden Dept. We are a county run facility in Cambridge, OH, we are NOT a no kill shelter! Unfortunately, we must euthanize due to illness or aggression. Adoption fees are $165 for dogs under 5 years old, $100 for dogs over 5 years old and $200 for cell dogs. Adoption fees include, Vaccine (DHPP), Bordetella, Microchip, Heartworm and Lyme testing, Rabies vaccine, Spay/Neuter and a dog license. Dogs will be required to be spayed/neutered before leaving shelter, if not an appointment will be scheduled before leaving the shelter. Please talk to shelter staff for more information. We only accept cash. We cannot take checks, debit or credit cards. You may also call the shelter: Office hours are Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm.
