About Aspen

I rescued Aspen from a litter two and a half months ago. He was shy when I brought him home and started opening up quickly. Aspen absolutely LOVES myself and his fur brother, Murphy (border collie). Unfortunately, Aspen is fearful of humans and other animals moving around him and has bitten several people. Fortunately, he's not broken skin on most of these occasions and has released right after the bite, but I'm no longer allowed to keep him at my home due to the liability it places on my landlord. I'm devastated to write this out, because he is so sweet, kind, and cuddly with me and Murphy. I'm in the midst of working with the rescue RI Save One Soul to help him get the best home possible. I'm working on getting him on behavioral medication to help with his fearfulness and will continue to train him until he's rehomed. I request a donation be sent to RI Save One Soul if interested, but have no interest in taking money if someone is willing and able to take on this sweet, loving boy. He's a work in progress, but we've seen him make big steps through in person training throughout the short time I've had him. He'd need an owner willing to take time and give some TLC.
