About Josie

Looking to re-home/relocate Josie, my 5 year old, 60 pound female terrier pit bull mix. She is fixed, house broken, and crate trained but has been aggressive with other dogs since her brother, (a 14 year old, 15 pound lapdog) passed away last August. She is fine with smaller dogs, but dogs her size or bigger - she wants to play rough/aggressive and pulls hard on the leash to the point where I am unable to control her. I myself recently lost a major portion of my income and my health has deteriorated to the point where I am no longer able to care for Josie the way she deserves. She needs a strong presence and someone who either does not have other dogs or who can spend the time socializing Josie properly with larger dogs. She is up to date on shots, receives yearly teeth cleanings, sweet natured and loves to cuddle - just not with other animals. I know this is a long shot, but I love her and want to see her go somewhere with someone she can thrive with and I am unable to give her what she needs now.
