About Blitz

Meet Blitz! Blitz is a 5-year-old, 55 pound working dog who looks like a boxer and hound mix. He's smart, food driven, and loves playing fetch. He sleeps through the night in his crate, is house trained, loves learning new tricks, and can be good with other dogs if they allow him to calmly greet them. Blitz would do best in an adult only home, with an owner who is active. He loves going on walks, runs, hikes, and car rides. He can be wary of new people, and will need someone to continue to train him on confidence building. Blitz will walk in a heel when requested, he is a quick learner, Best of all, he will LOVE his owners immensely. His foster mom's most recent report: Blitz is AMAZING. With his people, he is the BEST dog, and he's good with dogs who play nicely and not pushy. He's a quick learner, a cuddle bug, and house-trained. He LOVES hiking in the woods, has an amazing recall, and loves playing fetch. I believe he would be the best dog on a farm, where he isn't forced to interact with strangers. Are you someone who will allow Blitz to become comfortable with strangers slowly? He just needs someone who understands he isn't too fond of people until he feels safe with them. This means not allowing others to approach him on walks and when out and about. No trips to Home Depot or TJ Maxx for this guy. He only needs outings with his new parents!
