About Bear

Meet Bear, a 50 lb, 2 YO, sweet lovebug. He came to us as a stray who had been hit by a car at 4 mos. Fortunately, he had no broken bones, but had degloved both front paws to the bone that required months of treatment and therapy. Now, he's all healed up and ready for his forever home. Bear is playful, friendly, affectionate, energetic, then can be laid back. He has an average active lifestyle and is not a nuisance barker. He is being fostered with other dogs on a beautiful partially fenced-in, 200-acre sanctuary where he loves to run and play with them, run alongside the ATV's, and jump and play in the creek. We don't know how he is with cats. Bear loves to take car rides and is calm and quiet. He is crate trained (goes in easily), walks nicely on a leash, and knows the command 'Sit'. When he's outside in his large covered kennel, he always waits to be taken outside to potty as he's never soiled that. When he's inside a house he does well and settles right in, but new owners would need to get Bear established with a potty routine. He is an average shedder, but not excessive. We would recommend Bear to a first time or experienced individual or family who is active and who would have a companion canine he could play with. As with any new dog, he would need time to learn your routine and adapt to your home and lifestyle. Would you open up your heart home for this sweet boy?
