About Pepper

This is Pepper! She is a 6yr old German Short-haired Pointer who was owner surrendered due to the owner(s) moving. She was trained to quail hunt and help train the younger pups. When interacting with other dogs, she is very particular. When we introduced her to other hunting dogs and calmer dogs, she interacted and all of them were very respectful of their space and were in harmony. When Pepper met a hot mess all over the place dog, she almost turned into momma dog and attempted to correct that dog and when he did not listen she walked away and ignored him. She was never allowed to be inside in her previous home. If she did go inside or attempted to go inside the house she got in big trouble. However, after working with her and allowing her to be inside (at the shelter) without any repercussions, she has relaxed and she LOVES to be inside! Being a dog who has always been a working dog, she is going nuts being in a kennel! If you can't adopt, please save her sanity by fostering!
