About Mandy

We are heartbroken to need to find Mandy a new loving home. Ideally someone who will treat her as a best friend and take her on long walks and play with her and enjoy her snuggles on the couch. We have had her from 6 wks old, her dob is 12/23/18. We have her on Revolution heart-worm and flea treatment (the other meds bother her stomach) and she is micro-chipped and vetted well with all vaccinations. We have a fenced yard and she will let us know when she needs to potty and barks to come in, she is not a digger and is very good to let us know when someone is delivering a package. We were told she was a purebred mini Aussie but we believe she is mixed with border collie because she is 40 lbs is very vocal and has behaviors similar to border collies. Mandy is excellent in the house, does not chew on anything does not have separation anxiety and is house broken. Mandy is very people centered and gets along well with our other dog who is a submissive male, she also gets along with our grand dogs but she does not get along well with little children as she thinks she is boss and has turned on our very young grandchildren (2 and under) and we do not feel that she is safe around them. We got Mandy before we had any little ones in the family so she is not used to them but I do think she would do fine with older children who know how to be around dogs and who would throw balls and play with her. Mandy does ok on a leash but does like to pull and needs to have continued training to stop pulling. When she was younger she went to Hounds Lounge and played well with the dogs there. If there is someone out there who wants a sweet dog that will give her the love we have, please please contact us. We will shed tears and give her to you with joy knowing she is getting a good home and we dont need to worry that our very young grandchildren are going to be bitten.
