About Lexi

She is a 5 year old Sheepdog-Poodle mix that has been spayed. Her main behavioral issue is that she has possessive dominance, she purposely will seek out items (usually socks) that she thinks we'll 'fight' her over and bark and/or snap when you try to take it from her. She can also get possessive over food, or try to 'herd' people or other dogs. (Herding is never aggressive, just pushy) I'm not sure dog expert, but I believe it comes from boredom. She often seeks out these items after she's been left alone inside all day, and often seeks attention before or afterwards. What really makes me think this is that we had taken her to a training program in the past and she responded well to it. However, she slowly slipped back into misbehavior after coming home, which leads me to believe she just needs mental stimulation that can't be provided in a suburban home.
