About Levi

Levi was a stray who was found hanging out by a dumpster with cats. He was very scared when he arrived in his BARC foster home. Now we can see he has a goofy and playful personality. He loves taking naps, getting cookies, and lots of pets. When he sees people, especially someone he knows, he is all wags and immediately wants to be petted! He especially loves anyone that will cuddle with him. He really enjoys walks, and walks well on a leash. He is tolerant when meeting other dogs and is a total ham for people (especially the ladies). Levi doesn't seem to mind kitties, and doesn't offer to chase them if they run away. He enjoys getting affection from people and likes anything he can chew on; bones, Kongs and plush toys that don't make noise. Although Levi is friendly with other animals, he is territorial over toys and food. His new family will need to take this into account and feed him separately/offer toys independently if there are other animals in the home. Due to this resource guarding behavior, a placement with adults only or older children is recommended for Levi. Levi is a very curious and smart dog. He learned 'sit' in one quick session and is working on other commands. Overall, he's a very sweet and cuddly boy who is playful, but not overly energetic. He's eager to please people and will try really hard to do what he's asked for a piece of cheese or dog biscuit!
