About MAXIMO - NYC ResQ Pup

At just over a year old, MAXIMO is an affectionate 60lb Lab/Pitbull mix puppy who was found nestled next to his sister, shivering in fear in a New York City park where the siblings were abandoned. But MAXIMO and his sister MELDA were not rescued that day, instead they were merely dumped at the city kill pound where they were cruelly separated by uncaring bureaucrats and given kill dates. Thankfully both dogs were saved by 501(c)(3) rescue groups and placed in loving foster homes, but as amazingly dedicated as she has been, MAXIMO's foster mom - who helped save his life - is elderly and lives in a small apartment, so we are urgently seeking a new foster or adopter for him. MAXIMO's foster mom describes him as a 'half lovable lap dog / half rambunctious athlete,' so he will need a fenced yard in his next home to contain his energetic puppy enthusiasm. A volunteer in the NYC kill pound who took a special interest in MAXIMO wrote about him as follows: 'Maximo is a handsome boy with cookie crumble patterned paws that seem too big for his body. Maximo's main game is fetch, and he will play with any and all toys available. He's so much fun to be around!
