About Nala

Adoption Fee: $100
Border Collie
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

I rescued Nala one year ago from our local animal shelter. It was her last day before being euthanized. Nala was found as a stray and was never claimed. She has a wonderful personality, but also several issues that wouild indicate she had not been cared for. She does have extremely high energy and will need a home with lots of space to exercise. She prefers to be in the house and is very lovable and faithful. When you meet Nala, she will present as shy and nervous. It does take her a while to adapt to new situations. She reacts to any situation she is not familiar with. Her reactions range from hiding behind a chair, to barking, or jumping. Nala is current with her vaccinations, with a rabies shot due this month; she has been spayed and microchipped. She is house trained, but you will need to be patient with her when you first get her because she does nervous potty in the house; however, she will use a washable pee pad now. Preferably, Nala will find a human knowledgable with Border Collie eccentricities, whom she can bond to. This person will be committed to training and spending quality time with her. She currently lives on a nonworking farm, so she is used to a lot of space. Ideally, she will be the only dog.
