About Carley

Carley is ready to find her home! Carley is a 20 month old, 45 pound sweetheart. We aren't sure what breeds make up her DNA and are guessing she is some kind of fluffy terrier mix. Several months ago Carley was found as a stray. One of our foster moms was driving on Highway 30 and almost hit her in the middle of a storm. Carley was covered in ticks from head to toe, was missing a lot of fur, and was very thin. Carley is back to a healthy weight and has her fur back. She did test positive for Lyme disease which isn't surprising since she was covered in ticks. Since Carley is living in one of our foster homes, we know her quite well and know she needs three things to be happy in her new home. Another dog, a fenced yard, and people who are around often. Carley loves to play with other dogs and needs another dog in her home. Another dog gives her confidence and makes her feel safe. She needs a fenced yard so she can safely run and play. Carley needs a home where her people are around often. Carley doesn't enjoy being left alone and won't stay in a kennel. She does fine loose with the other dog in her foster home. After being abandoned it's easy to understand why she wants to be with her people. We do have her on Clomipramine, a drug to reduce anxiety that costs less than $20 a month. We don't think she will need this medication long term but it will help her settle into a new home. Carley is house trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
