About Voya

Pit Bull
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Hello,%A0 I have a 65lb very very sweet and beautiful female pitbull that I adopted from the Hartford pound on 5/29/24. Age is 18-24 months. They will not allow her to be returned per the contract and I am hoping to find a way to surrender her to a better situation than asking the humane society or pound to take her - which I may need to do but am hoping to see something so much better for her then possible outcomes with that choice. I hope someone can help her. So Voya, has been incredibly sweet with me and all my friends. In my circle, whether at home or out somewhere else, she has been very respectful and great with people. She is Loving.%A0%A0Follows commands in expected routine settings - sit, lay down, come, wait, go'|. She heels on walks and she cares very much about what her person wants of her. She's so adoringly respectful. As far as other dogs. When walking she will bark at other dogs and has lunged a couple of times, but not full force.%A0%A0So enough that I have had to hold her to keep her from making further moves, but she has let me redirect her walking in another direction or walk by the dog she's barking with depending without issue.%A0 On Sunday 6/30 she was on a tie down using a spiral stake, as I helped someone put together a fence, in their/a front yard.%A0%A0It was rated for 275lbs and all reviews indicated complete product reliability with dogs far bigger than her. %A0I trusted it (never again will I trust one) and she saw another dog. She ran at it hard breaking the stake loose with no resistance. She attacked the little dog, and the dog was and is severely injured - traumatic for all involved.%A0She is currently quarantining at my house.%A0%A0She is quarantine free 7/10 and will need a new home. Though a lot of people are pushing me to keep her I know deep down inside I will never trust her with or even near another dog, even if I could (and I can not) afford all the trainings and obedience schools in the world. I'm afraid to walk her. I will never be ok having her near dogs or kids, and cannot change this about myself no matter what advice has been offered'|not something I can do. I hoped terribly to give her a full life; and live a full life with her. %A0And I am so sorry but I know I cannot.%A0I cannot keep her. She is truly a sweet girl.%A0%A0 Can you help?%A0
