About Bogue

'Bogue' Age: 2.5 years Breed: Mixed Breed Neutered and microchipped Up to date on all vaccines; no health issues Beautiful 'Bogue' is looking for love and adventure! House trained and crate trained. Named after the Bogue Inlet in the coastal NC area where we grew up, he is 2.5 year old mutt boy! He is a Norwegian Elkhound mix with just the best brown spots, 'mascara eyes' as we lovingly call them, and the softest ears that give him character! Loves to get the 'zoomies' in the backyard, does well with baths, and simply just wants to be with his family. He will be wherever you are in the house, and that's where he's happiest. He is snuggly and loving to his core family. Fenced yard is a must for this special boy - he needs a yard, space to run/play, and an experienced, dedicated, and active leader. Bogue should be with a family who has experience and a working knowledge of dog behavior and body language. Someone willing to put in the time and effort that yields a friend for life would be perfect. New dog friends and new people overwhelm him, so he should be in a home where he is the only dog, and without small children. He has lived with cats and does fine with them if introduced properly and taught that they are friends and part of the 'Pack'. We are located in Raleigh and he will come with a reasonable rehoming fee. All of his favorites included (crate, crate pad, toys, collar, leashes, backpack, etc). Serious inquiries only, and his trainer will be with us at all meet and greets to ensure he goes to his perfect forever home. We will conduct interviews for serious adopters only and will observe interactions between potential owners and Bogue to help find the best home. We also have some additional training sessions left that we have already paid for with our trainer, and those will transfer to the Bogue's new owner as well. Bogue is best friend material. The kind of dog who teaches you, makes you a better person and dog owner, and makes you appreciate all that the canine friend has to offer. Bogue will attach closely to one or a couple of people and will stay loyal to them. Reason for rehoming: Bogue is seeking a partner for life�'�|he needs a kind, patient, compassionate, firm leader. He is going to commit himself back to you 110% and is very close-knit in his relationships with his 'Pack'. We are no longer able to provide him the attention, exercise, and training he deserves, and feel he needs a new loving environment where he can thrive...someone who understands and is willing to work with his excitement, as well as reactive fears, of other dogs and new people.
