About Davis

Hi, my name is Davis and I've got a question for you. Could you love a three legged dog' I hope so because I have lots of love to give. I could tell you about my earlier life, but truth is, it's not very happy. There is some speculation that I might have been hit by a car and/or thrown out of a car at some point. I do remember coming to the Burlington NC animal shelter in early April with a badly injured leg. I was in there for about 2 months and my leg wasn't getting better so my foster family took me home to help me recover. Unfortunately, I guess my leg can't be saved and the vets at the shelter say it will have to be amputated. Now, that sounds very scary but since I already favor my good leg, the vets say I should make a complete recovery. My foster mom says, I have an indomitable spirit. I am a happy, super affectionate boy, who is eager to please. I love being with my foster family and make a great companion. Each day I follow my foster dad out to his shop where I a content to lie on the floor beside dad's workbench. I get along well with my foster sister. I am housebroken and know basic commands; come, sit, stay, wait, bed. Mom says my leash walking is still a work in progress, I'm fine unless I see a biker or jogger, but mom says I'm a quick learner and getting better all the time.
