About HAIRY POTTER

Potter is 8 yrs. old and is a silver/beige, male Standard Poodle. He is a very sweet boy and is housebroken. He was recently rescued from a neglect situation in rural Georgia on 06/20/24. Potter was severely matted when rescued. His foster had him groomed and he has seen a vet and had fecal test, blood work and his vaccinations. (He currently weighs 70 lbs.) He is neutered. Potter is very sweet and only wants to snuggle and get scratches and pets. He needs to be an indoor dog as he does not do well in the heat, although he does like to go outside with his humans and explore a bit. He is happiest laying at your feet indoors. He is a fantastic TV buddy and loves to cuddle. He is very laid back and is NOT a high energy dog. He wants to chill with his humans and other like-minded dog friends. He loves playing with toys and also loves to go for car rides. He would LOVE to accompany you to an outing that involved a drive-thru and food. The ideal home for Potter would be with a retiree or work from home person with another very calm dog (not a puppy) in the home. He is not thrilled with younger, wild, exuberant dogs. He would also do fine in a home with no other dogs as he is an attention and affection hog. **NO CATS** The second best home situation for Potter would be one with kids age 7 or older, who know to be GENTLE and respectful with him. Small kids are probably not a good fit as he does not like sudden loud noises and fast, aggressive activity around him. He would NOT like little ones climbing on him, poking and pulling. He likes calm. Potter is currently residing in Tifton, Ga. We can help with transporting him if needed.
