About Jasper

(DOB 4/19/2024). Due to Jasper's young age, he has not yet been neutered. For this reason, we are only considering local adoption (within 1 hour drive time of Wake Forest NC). Jasper is looking for a home with another playful dog to help him learn how to dog. A fenced yard to romp and run would be a bonus but isn't a requirement if his family is up for a lot of play time and several walks each and every day. This affectionate boy would love a lap and cuddles after play time. Because he is young, he is looking for a family that has someone that works from home or stays at home. Jasper isn't interested in hanging out in a crate or puppy pen for hours on end; he has too much puppy energy for that. Jasper is your typical puppy. He is inquisitive about everything and is full of kisses. He is very loving. His days are spent eating, sleeping, playing, pottying and repeat. As he gets older, expect nap time to be less and less and play time more and more. He is a smart little fellow and already learning things pretty quickly. His little brain is like a huge sponge, so this is a perfect time to work on queues and commands. Add in a treat or a toy and training sessions become play time, too. Speaking of training, Jasper is already crate trained and sleeps well throughout the night. He is doing well on his potty training, and remember he has a little bladder right now so needs to go out OFTEN. Keeping Jasper on a routine will help him successfully complete his potty training. It is also a great time to begin leash walks even if he has a fenced yard. All dogs should learn nice leash manners so when you go to the vet or an outing, he is well behaved. Plus, he loves car rides, so he would want to definitely go with you whenever possible. If you have cats, that is fine; Jasper is cat friendly, too! He is also good with kids. Remember puppies put everything in their mouths including little people's toes, fingers, clothes, toys, etc. so older children are best with parents that will properly monitor interactions and growing up together with proper boundaries. He is little now, but he is expected to be a big beautiful, handsome boy. Are you ready for a lifetime commitment and see him grow up into a fantastic pup, then wait no longer! As part of Jasper's $325 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered.
