About Benito

Benito is 1 year 8 month old neutered male Australian Shephard. He is fully vaccinated and microchipped. We adopted Benito at age 7 months as his previous owners sought to rehome him because their apartment and work schedule didn't allow him enough outdoor time. We have a big yard and a 3 year male Aussie-mix rescue who loves other dogs, so thought he would make a great addition to our family. Unfortunately, the two dogs do not get along and have to be kept separate. Benito is reactive to new people and other dogs. Benito is house-trained, crate-trained and very smart. He learns tricks easily (especially if treats are involved!). He knows sit, paw, stay, down, ok (come). It breaks my heart that we were not successful in acclimating Benito to our family. He has so much potential. Benito would do well in a single pet home that can better foster his calm confidence and star qualities. We are happy to meet up at a park for introductions. Unfortunately, the need to rehome Benito is becoming urgent as we are preparing to go out of town and we can't board him.
