About Ryan

Overlooked dog deserves a forever home. This is Ryan. A two year old, neutered, American Bulldog mix looking for his forever home. He came in as a stray to the WakeGov Pets: Wake County Animal Center four months ago. He was overlooked day after day for four months because he had a benign growth on his eye, referred to as cherry eye. The shelter paid for him to have the surgery to have it removed and I now have him in post-op care at our home. I take him back to a very full shelter next Friday morning (6/28) so that I can help another dog. He's a bigger, stronger dog so small children in the home probably is not ideal. He's crate trained and potty trained. He knows his name and sits politely for treats while gently taking them from your hand when offered. He needs to be walked on a harness because he loves squirrels, bunnies, and birds - a fenced in backyard would be his dream home. He has played in playgroups well with other females, males are hit-or-miss (he's more selective).
