About Jewelz

Rottweiler
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Jewelz is an 8-year-old Rottweiler who has been a cherished part of our family. She was my dad's dog and when he sadly passed away last September, I brought her to live with us. Unfortunately, due to our living situation in a second-floor condo and her specific health needs, we are unable to provide her with the best possible environment. Jewelz is a gentle, loyal, and loving dog, known for her sweet temperament. She was hit by a car two years ago and while she miraculously survived the hit-and-run and emergency surgeries, she has some lasting nerve damage which affects her mobility. Probably the biggest issue is that she cannot manage stairs without assistance, though on flat ground she bunny hops along pretty gamely. Despite these challenges, Jewelz has maintained her joyful spirit and resilience. She deserves a home with easy access to a yard, where navigating her environment won't be as challenging, and where she can enjoy the quality of life she deserves. This is a time-sensitive matter. We have marked on the form that Jewelz is in danger of being euthanized on Tuesday, June 25. We will not be able to care for her after that date, and professionals have advised us that putting her to sleep and saying goodbye in person is a more compassionate option than the uncertain conditions she might face in a shelter. This decision weighs heavily on us, and we are desperately seeking a loving home for Jewelz to avoid this outcome. She has so much love to give and deserves a chance to live out her life in a safe and caring environment.
