About Covu

UPDATE 6.27.24: Covu is still with us and doing better when it comes to being hyper during his walks. Working with him being around guys this weekend. ----------- Corvu's owner and her daughter recently became homeless and was to be re-homed with another mother and child who has another Rottweiler by the end of June. However, he doesn't seem comfortable with men/boy children. I was told it maybe a behavioral situation because of the circumstances of becoming homeless. Personally l, would love to keep him but I'm out of the house for 12 hrs. It's not fair for him to be caged up for such long periods of time even while I'm home (due to a house of men). Honestly, I have only had him for a week and really don't know much about him. I think he feels comfortable with me because I'm a woman and he has a woman owner. He is protective of his food. He seems to only growl at the guys when in his cage and barks occasionally at them. Not sure if he is good with other dogs but gets excited whenever another dog comes near. Definitely cannot be around a cat or bunny (neighborhood has these running around). Very smart dog too. He is currently working on heeling. Whenever we stop, he lays down. He is strong for his size. He seems to be a normal puppy with his actions but can be a bit active. He does love to run so if you're a runner, he will be a great running mate. Unfortunately, I won't be able to keep him any longer and if I can't find him a home this weekend, I'll have to call animal control since there seems to be an overage with local rescue facilities (still calling no-kill rescues that find online).
