About Zoom

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] I am looking for a good home for my Australian Shepherd, Zoom. He is a neutered male and is 4.5 years old. He is very sweet and loving. He loves lots of attention. He has a lot of energy and he likes to play with people and other dogs. He is crate trained. I am hoping for a home with someone who has experience with Australian Shepherds or similar dogs and knows how to train them. Some things to know about him: 1. He has suffered from 2 mild strokes since we adopted him in July 2023. He had a small stroke in November 2023 and another in February 2023. The doctors feel he is low risk and he's not to a point of needing to be medicated. 2. He needs to eat separately from other dogs, and he must be fed meals - no free grazing. He struggles with his weight. 3. He becomes very attached to one person (and gets attached to visitors while they are here) 4. He has anxiety and should hopefully not be left alone for long hours. 5. He likes to bark, and he sheds a lot (He is an Aussie after all!) 6. He has had about 5 or 6 instances where he had what I perceived to be aggression. Twice were with groomers. Another is when I have him the wrong food bowl and tried to switch for the other bowl, instead he growled and ate both. Another is I tried to take away a paper towel roll he was eating and he growled so I had to let him have it. At least twice he has barked aggressively and tried to bite or nip people's hands when they came to visit.
