About Apollo

Apollo is a 1yr-6mos Caucasian/German Shepherd mix. (I picked Anatolian as Caucasian was not a listed option). He is very friendly and well-mannered. He is good around adults and especially my 11 yrs grandson. Apollo is an indoor/outdoor dog. He has been taught not to get on sofas, beds, furniture or countertops. He is housebroken and does not mark indoors. He loves to play and is an active pup. Apollo loves to have his chest and tummy rubbed. He has been trained not to jump up when greeting or playing. He will bring you his ball when it's playtime. He is well-behaved indoors and we prepare our meals in front of him with no problems. Apollo is a large but gentle dog. But he is still a juvenile so has to be reminded of his guidelines periodically. He responds well to sit, down, no, leave it, wait, dinner, goodie(treats), water, outdoors, pee and hey. He is still working on the Come command and responds often, but is more familiar with Hey. Apollo does well on his leash and only tugs occasionally, which is easily corrected. Apollo barks to alert and when he wants to play or get your attention. He is not an excessive, constant barker. His new owner should have some experience with large dogs, have plenty of room for him to romp, a high fence (6' min), and expect to walk him at least once a day. In exchange you will get a loyal, gentle wonderful companion. I am fostering Apollo for one of my sons, who, because of job/schedule changes, was no longer able to care for him. The only shelters that would accept Apollo would only hold him for 2 weeks, then euthanize-which we couldn't allow! I also have a 16 year old rescue German Shepherd. Apollo is a great dog. I imagine everyone says this to get their dog adopted, but in this case it's true. Apollo will be a wonderful pet. If you are interested in viewing Apollo, please either email or text me first.
