About Henry

Oh hey, I didn't see you there. The name's Henry. You may recognize me from SNIPSA's social media channels as I've become a bit of a local celebrity. So, where did my 'fame' begin? Well, after being hit by a car and getting picked up by Animal Care Services, I wasn't surprised when I was slated for euthanasia. With my broken arm and multiple lacerations, it wasn't likely that someone would step up and claim me, let alone pay for my costly medical fees. Luckily, SNIPSA spotted me on the euthanasia list and thought I deserved a fighting chance. They took me in, gave me some good drugs and wrapped my arm in a splint to provide some stability. Then, they started a fundraiser to raise the funds needed to operate on my leg. In just hours, my video has already reached thousands of people and counting! Now, thanks to all of my supporters, I finally underwent my surgery and I am now in recovery mode. I hope all of my new fans will not only support me on my recovery journey, but will also help me find a forever home. As an 85-pound cuddle bug, I'm eager to find a family with a loving touch. I have a fondness for people and will follow around the SNIPSA staff in anticipation of a head scratch or belly rub. Being a Great Pyrenees mix, my gentle, sweet nature comes at no surprise. I have a natural desire to roam, too, despite my injuries! I get so excited when it's time to go outside and will happily spread out on the cool floor afterward. I also look forward to mealtime, where I have recently discovered a love for kibble and gravy. I'll even show off my most handsome 'sit' for a yummy bite of dessert.
