About Bonnie

Bonnie was found roaming around by a teen who took her home but couldn't keep her. I was looking for a pittie after mine died the year before, so I decided to take her. She got used to me very quickly because I fed her. She liked my boyfriend right away. Now she is very protective of her Mom and Dad. Will bark and bark but has never attacked anyone. She'll go to her crate when she's being a 'bad dog.' But she gets used to a person after a while and especially if they give her treats. Very food motivated. I've had several people move in and out of my home and she interacted with them very playfully. Whoever owned her first did some training because she knew 'sit' and walked well with a leash without pulling. Now she knows: lay down, off, stay(but not long), no, drop it, get your baby (stuffed animal), get your toy, wanna potty?, eat?, and cookie?. She's afraid of thunder and will jump in bed with us. She's quite submissive but when she needs something, she'll look very intently at you. She loves to play fetch and tug of war and chase. Most of all she loves to cuddle and just be close to us. The epitome of a Velcro dog. UNFORTUNATELY, she does have allergies and requires Apoquel at $70 monthly from BandanaRx. Otherwise, she will tear up her skin scratching and biting herself. I have to give her up now because my boyfriend and I have gone separate ways into places with breed and weight restrictions, so neither of us can keep her.
