About Loki

Adoption Fee: $350
Siberian Husky
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

We adopted Loki (re-homed) when he was 9 months old after our small dog was killed by our neighbors dog. My son witnessed it at the age of 4 and we wanted to not replace but try to fill the missing void. I was not aware at the time that my son and myself were allergic to long haired dogs. He was also outside most of the time so it didn't affect us supper badly. We did have some dominant issues with him in the beginning so we chose to get him neutered and we also had to work with him on who was boss in our home. He is much more submissive now but can be protective of his food and will growl when we attempt to take it away. I still work with him on putting my hand in his dish while he is eating and seems to do better with adults in that area than children. He has calmed down a lot the last couple years and does pretty well with the kids cuddling him. Can get grumpy if a child accidentally falls/steps on him. We also adopted a female husky (Nala) who is almost 3 now whom I have posted as well. Our allergies being related to long haired dogs were realized shortly after bringing Nala home we have since attempted several things to be able to help but have not been successful. we would love to keep these 2 together if possible as they have grown closely bonded. They have both had their rabies shot and a negative heart worm test along with this months simparico trio tablet.
