I am writing this with a heavy heart, seeking your help in finding a new, loving home for my dear dog, who has been my loyal companion for over a decade. When I first adopted him, he was a neglected and mistreated Australian Shepherd, tied up to a tree and deprived of the care and freedom every dog deserves. Despite his early struggles, including being deaf and almost completely blind, he thrived in the wide-open spaces of our rural home, where he could run and play freely. In those early years, I was fortunate to have a partner who helped me care for him. My dog, although initially scared, grew to trust and love me deeply, finding comfort and safety by my side. This bond became the cornerstone of his happiness and well-being. However, life has changed dramatically since then. I am now living alone in a small one-bedroom apartment, working long hours that keep me away from home for more than 8 hours a day. This drastic change has taken a toll on him. He is now bitter and angry, even towards me. It breaks my heart to see him suffer like this, knowing that I can no longer provide the space, attention, and affection he desperately needs. He deserves a home where he can spend his remaining years surrounded by love, care, and the freedom to run and play as he once did. I am seeking a family with a safe, open space and the ability to give him the daily affection and attention he craves. He may be in his twilight years, but his spirit is still strong, and he has so much love left to give. This decision is one of the hardest I have ever had to make, but I believe it is the best thing for him. If you or anyone you know can offer him the loving home he deserves, please reach out to me. Let's work together to give him the happy and peaceful life he once knew. Thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time.
