About Spike Lee

Hi, I'm Spike Lee. I'm 3 years old and 25 pounds and still losing a little weight though I'm in pretty perfect shape! �'۬�'۬I am fostered in Linn County, about one hour away from Eugene, Corvallis, Sisters and Salem. About 1.5 hours from Bend and 2 from Portland and Newport. My rescue folks will meet part way if they are able. �'۬�'۬I am a nice boy! I love to pretend I'm a lap dog, if you let me. I am house trained and crate trained and know some good training cues. I walk well on leash and am almost 100% off leash recall trained. I like to sleep on my human's bed, but I am also used to sleeping in a crate, and I sure would take to a dog bed fine if you work with me on that. �'۬�'۬ I am a happy boy and I love a squeaky ball. I did come from an apartment life where I got little exercise and before that, some folks weren't super nice to me, so I'm looking for very nice folks who have rescue dog experience. There are really no big issues with me, I just need consistent gentle kindness to become my completely confident self, and I don't like fighting. �'۬�'۬ I am neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and on flea, tick and heart worm preventatives. I'll have a dental scheduled in McMinnville for after my adoption that is paid for by my rescue, as I have a broken tooth. My adoption fee is $400. �'۬ A great home for me and my must haves include: �'۬�'۬1. A home with a decent sized securely fenced yard. �'۬2. Adopters not gone long hours. I have been alone a lot. �'۬3. Folks who will treat me as part of the family and who will walk me every day. I am not a high energy guy, but I am enjoying life in rescue where we do fun things, I get to fetch a squeaky ball and follow my person sometimes at his job as forester in the woods. �'۬4. Adopters who care about good nutrition and good vet care. �'۬5.
