About GABBY

***NEEDS FUREVER HOME *** Currently in Jerome, ID Our sweet Klee Kai mix senior (35 lbs, 8-year-old) GABBY was rescued from the overcrowded Chubbuck Shelter. GABBY is being temporarily fostered on a farm. She is good with people, dog-friendly and good with cats and farm animals. GABBY is very reliably house-trained. She sleeps loose in the house with the other off-leash dogs. She is getting braver by the day and maybe a bit too bold with the horses, but no herding or chase issues. She loves all the smells and nooks and crannies of the haybarn. GABBY's favorite place is still 2 inches from her people (possible hazard to little kids). We have learned that GABBY is fairly healthy overall, but has the typical lumps and bumps and maybe some hip issues that all seniors do. She may be losing her hearing and will need a dental (teeth cleaning), but also to remove a tumor from her mouth. We found out that she does detect sound (e.g., clapping hands to call the pack), but she doesn't seem to be able to identify where the sound is coming from. The GP vet was not able to examine her eyes, so we have identified a specialist for her.
