About Noodle (female)

Adoption Fee: $10
American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Noodle is such a smart, funny, loving girl who deserves so much better from life than what she's had. She was a victim of neglect/cruelty and was found in a crate in a hot shed. She wants so badly to interact with people but doesn't always know how to do it. She gets overstimulated to touch so when she jumps up to greet people and gets pushed off that tells her that is the game that people like to play. More pushing equates to more jumping up! With the jumping and pushing comes mouthy behaviors. We sent her to live with a trainer for a few days. He fell in love with her and had no issues and controlled her behaviors with voice control and sometimes a shaker bottle (empty Gatorade bottle with rocks in it). He states that she is easily redirected and settles in. She would benefit from an active, patient home who is willing to employ basic training methods. She really enjoys hanging out with people and needs structure and clear guidance to thrive. With the right routine she will smooth out quickly. Noodle is really good in play groups and takes correction well from other dogs. She's tiny at only 34 pounds. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested and vaccinated. Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection (CCFAP) will pay for a training session with RafStar K9 (who is the trainer who had her for a few days). He will give you the advice to help her settle in quickly. CCFAP will also pay for a six-week basic obedience course from Dog Training by Terah. Noodles adoption fee has been pre-paid by a caring citizen via CCFAP's 'Sponsor Me Home' program. Come meet Noodle at Citrus County Animal Services, 4030 S. Airport Road, Inverness, FL 34450. ID# 56089739.
