About Loca

Loca is a cute, energetic, and super affectionate Pug/Rat Terrier mix. She came to our rescue after her owners got transferred for work and couldn't take her with them. Loca has an endless amount of energy and loves all things food. She does great with other dogs, but any other dogs would need to be tolerant of her exuberant nature because she does like to get in their faces to give them kisses. That can annoy some dogs, so we would want to do a meet-and-greet with any other dogs to make sure they get along. She also plays non-stop. Loca LOVES people . . .all people . . .so she will climb all over you and give you kisses. She will follow you anywhere and does her best to make sure you know she loves you! Loca isn't house-trained yet, but she does use a doggy door and is good about going outside a lot. She does tend to get overly excited and not realize she has to potty until it's too late but as she matures and with a little patience, this shouldn't happen. She does sometimes pee when she is excited to see or meet new people too, but this should also stop as she gets older. Loca has been around cats and loves to play with them, but because she's rambunctious my cats don't love her. LOL. She doesn't hurt the cats though. Loca would do best in an active household with at least one other tolerant dog to play with. She needs a family who will take their time to train her and make sure that her energy needs are met. So if you're looking for a fun, energetic, playful and loving companion, Loca just might be a great fit for you! Loca will be spayed on 6/19 and be ready to go to her new home then.
