About Bean

Bean is a very sweet and cuddly boy. He knows basic commands like sit, off, down, and shake. He loves his ears being rubbed and naps. There are some behavioral difficulties that are beyond my patience and abilities. He is not crate trained and cannot be kept in a crate without massive anxiety and will break a wire crate. He is what I would call mostly potty trained. As in, he knows he is supposed to go outside but normally let's you know if he wants to go out but will also have 'accidents' inside for attention or if he doesn't feel like waiting. He counter surfs and will get in the trash if it isn't locked. He is great on a leash but also has a high prey drive and a good grip on a leash is necessary at all times. Bean can and will jump fences and gates if unsupervised. He is good with cats and ok with other dogs. Most of all Bean loves people. He is always excited to make a friend. He doesn't have much stamina and just an hour in Home Depot and he will sleep all day. He just needs someone with more patience and skill in training than I have. He has some minor allergies that I don't know what ingredients he is allergic to but it seems like Grain heavy foods or a lot of human food he gets a lot of Dandruff. He has had success with the green bag of lams and is currently on Diamond Hi Energy and does well with that. He has never been around young children so I can't speak on how he would be with kids. He was up to date on vaccines until last month
