About Shaggy#2

SHAGGY# 2 is a happy guy who enjoys snuggling on the couch, nice walks, toys to play with and his favorite; a frozen food stuffed KONG!! He is crate trained but much rather be with his people or hanging out in the common areas of the home with his foster dog siblings. He also is good with cats and loves people. His cataracts doesn't prevent him from getting around. He can jump up on a couch or bed and navigate stairs with minor assistance. He is very food motivated and an A++ snuggler. Additional bonus is he is housebroken (outside and pee pad trained), knows how to do a sit and shake, and can be trusted to be left free as he doesn't destroy or bother anything. His foster Mom says he is such an easy boy and adores him but knows he deserves a forever family of his own. Shaggy#2 is about 11 years old and 35 pounds. Please help Shaggy#2 find a loving home to live out his golden years. 8/11/24 UPDATE: Shaggy #2 has been under the care of our vet and it has been determined that this sweet boy has food allergies and has NOT shown any signs of asthma which a vet down south supposedly diagnosed him with and he has not been on any Benadryl for almost 2 months now. Shaggy#2 has been doing great on a prescription diet which has been helping with his skin and fur allergies/sensitivity. He is itching much less. He is currently getting monthly cytopoint shots while his skin is healing. *Please note we currently have two dogs with similar names. Please refer to this dog as Shaggy#2 when filling out your application or emailing to avoid any confusions or delays in processing.* We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
