About Camp

Meet Camp. Camp is a pure breed male chocolate labrador retriever. He weighs approx., 85 pounds, and just turned six years old in April. Camp is a wonderful boy with a great personality, who deserves a forever home that has time for him and can give him a quiet and loving environment. He must go to a home that does not include small children, any large number of stairs to climb, or an apartment. Camp did undergo a torn ACL surgery and although it was very successful he does suffer slightly from arthritis and on rare occasions may limp, but it doesn't hinder him. Camp requires preferably a rancher-style home with no stairs, a large fence in the area, a lake home, or one with a pool since he loves the water and does his hind legs good! He would prefer a stay-at-home or work-from-home someone who can give him lots of love and attention. He's trustworthy to not chew on anything. 100% housebroken. Has learned the doggy door at his foster family's home. There's no food or toy aggression, no resource guarding. When in the house, he will bark at trucks and passers-by. He would love a home where he can SWIM since he LOVES water, which would keep all his muscles in check. He loves, loves, loves a tennis ball and to retrieve. And he politely drops the ball at your feet for another throw. He enjoys going on rides, and enjoys a good walk. Camp is used to being around children, but best to not be around too young rambunctious children. He is crate trained, but doesn't require it and knows a few cues like; sit and come. He is fine around other dogs and learning to be around cats.
