About Smudgie

Please meet adoptable Smudgie! Smudgie came in alongside three other dogs after being seized from her previous owners due to animal cruelty. Prior to arriving at our shelter, Smudgie was pretty neglected and spent her life living in a mud pit with no real shelter during cold or super hot weather. She lived on a chain which was only 5 feet long. Can you imagine living with only five feet to roam for YEARS? That was her reality for so long, but thankfully that chapter in her life has come to a close, and it is time to turn the page! Smudgie is a loyal and sweet companion who desires nothing more than to be right there next to you all day every day. She is a pretty petite girl, and would be great for someone who is looking for a dog in the medium sized range. Despite her life being so cruel prior to coming here, she is very well mannered and isn't too energetic either! While she does seem to like to play, she also likes to lay back and just hang out majority of the time. Fudgie is very dog friendly, and even when she dislikes another dog, she is very good about just removing herself from the stressful situation rather than engaging in any conflict. She is also very kid friendly, and you couldn't find a sweeter pup to be around! Smudgie is about three years old and weighs 40 lbs. She has been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites and has tested positive for heartworm disease in shelter. She has already been spayed.
