Aries is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet! This 4-year old, 45-pound 'criminal' has stolen many hearts and is ready to rob you of yours. As an abuse case, he spent time with animal control, but when those limited days were up, a large shelter was his only option. For a dog like Aries, this would have rapidly taken its toll for his mental health. Instead, a Good Samaritan of the Mansfield, MA community, who advocated for Arie's life for several months, is now serving as a foster. Aries has discovered many exciting things, but car rides are his favorite pastime. He also loves playing with balls, going on runs, and chasing critters! He has hound qualities with a love for walking in the woods and on trails. He is very curious about sights and scents. Aries was leery of people he didn't know as a result of living in fear his entire life. With patience and love, he grew to see that some people are actually nice and fun and have treats! He actually has a deep desire to love people. Though his breed types are unknown, he resembles a Dachshund and/or beagle mix. You'll love how fast his stubby little legs can run! Aries will do best with an experienced dog owner who will work with him to continue building his confidence. ' His best match is with an adult-only home or one with adults and dog-savvy teens. No young children, as they can be overwhelming to Aries. He previously lived with another dog, and currently lives with two, but he would need to meet a potential dog sibling. No cats. Aries wants you to know he really enjoys a fenced-in yard and is open to Sunday drives any day of the week. Please note: Aries takes seizure medication. It's working well as he hasn't had a seizure since starting it! Please contact Mr. Angelo to adopt this deserving boy who overcame abuse.
