About Acadia

Acadia is a resilient and loving 7-year-old who has been through a lot but is ready for her forever home. She was hit by a car and taken to Animal Services as a stray, where Polka Dogz rescued her. Unfortunately, due to her injuries, one of her back legs had to be amputated, and a large cyst was removed from her neck. Despite all this, Acadia has recovered beautifully in her foster home. Cady, as her foster family calls her, is a sweet, gentle, and quiet girl. She walks well on a leash, and takes treats very gently. While she's not interested in toys, she loves her walks with the family's two dogs, snuggles, and is very food-motivated. She is great with the family cat and is very friendly, giving licks to everyone she meets. Acadia would thrive in a quieter household where she can enjoy her naps and treats. If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion, Cady could be the perfect addition to your family. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good.
