About Prancer

Prancer is fostered in St. Catharines, Ontario and available to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Prancer was a stray in Texas, and walked only to property of a rescue where his 'next chapter' began! He was incredibly shy and it took a few days before he would approach anyone, but he never tried to leave the property. As days passed, he became more comfortable and they quickly realized that he is an incredibly smart boy. On the rescue ranch Prancer played and got along with dogs of all sizes. He is certainly at his happiest when he can be playing outside. He runs and plays and then wears out and chills. Prancer arrived in Canada in July and is settling in at his foster home. He continues to be cautious, but loves his foster family! If possible he likes to be with his people if they are in the home. If they are not, he returns to his safe space (his crate). He is excellent in his crate and it is an important tool for him in his new home as he truly sees it as his own safe space. Prancer understands the word 'kennel' and goes right in when asked. His foster family have not yet heard him bark. What Prancer would like you to know about him. Here are some things I like: I love spending time with my foster family and learning new things. Walks in a quiet neighborhood are my favorite because loud noises can be a little scary for me right now. Playing outside is the best!!! And if other dogs play with me, that's great too!!! Chasing squirrels and chipmunks are among my favorite pastimes as well. What I would like you to know about me: I will benefit from an adopter who will let me get used to new surroundings at my own pace. I'm eager to learn new things and please my people. Sometimes, I'll sneak your things into my crate - but just for fun, no sneak and destroy missions (haha). I'm very affectionate and love to cuddle on the sofa. I have solid recall in the yard, and I'm not a barker - just a fun-loving, playful guy looking to find my forever family.
